early 20th century Halloween card
According to superstition the veil between the natural and the supernatural can be pierced on Halloween and various kinds of divination are possible. These superstitions were actually rather popular during the early 20th century and this card offers one example. The dregs of the tea leaves will form a letter or image that shows you the future.

HALLOWEEN BOBBING FOR APPLES
There are already Halloween decoration in some stores so I think I will start posting some of my Halloween card images. These are all pretty old, close to a hundred years or so, but they are attractive images and many of the subjects are still associated with the holiday today. I'll start with some apple bobbing images, which if you haven't done it, is a lot harder than it looks.
